The Root Canal Process
1. Assessment
We begin by assessing your tooth's condition, often using digital X-rays to get a detailed view of the affected area.
2. Anaesthesia
To ensure your comfort, the tooth and surrounding area are numbed with a local anaesthetic.
3. Pulp Removal
The infected or damaged pulp inside the tooth is carefully removed.
4. Cleaning & Shaping
The inside of the tooth is cleaned and shaped to remove any remaining infected tissue and create a space for the filling material.
5. Filling
The cleaned space is filled with a biocompatible material to seal the tooth and prevent further infection.
6. Crown Placement
In most cases, a crown is placed over the treated tooth to restore its strength and protect it from future damage.
